Dear Readers,
I recently came across someone reflecting on how massive the leap from 2019 to 2024 has been—and wow, they weren’t kidding. Think about it: Covid, Red Lobster filing for bankruptcy, the Kendrick Lamar/Drake beef, the rise of AI, Elon Musk doing things, and let’s not forget… murder hornets!
But hey, 2025 is our year. Right?
Welcome to issue 45! Let’s dive in.
Book Worm
This year, I’m making reading a priority—and so far, I’m off to a solid start. I’m currently experimenting with Bookmory to track my reading progress. Do you have a favorite app for keeping tabs on your books? If so, send your recommendations my way; I’m always open to trying something new!
Here’s what I’ve been into so far this month:
• Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative
• The Creative Act: A Way of Being
• Kangaroo Notebook
• Save the Cat! The Last Book on Screenwriting You’ll Ever Need
It’s shaping up to be a creatively inspired reading list. What’s on your bookshelf nerd?
Beard Today, Gone Tomorrow
When Henry was born nearly seven years ago, I had a beard. Ever since, every January, I grow one in his honor—only to shave it off shortly after. Why? Because, as much as I like the look, I find them unbearably irritating, thanks to the relentless itchiness.
This year, I’m determined to conquer the itch. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but no luck so far. Does anyone have tips for making a beard less scratchy? Please, help a guy out!
Thirst trap photo below. Did I use that term correctly? Probably not, but let’s roll with it.
Eclipse (Yes, my Kung fu-Bollywood-Zombie movie idea)
You thought this idea was a one-and-done? Oh no, my friends, we’re just getting started. This concept has legs—and not the kind you see shambling in a zombie apocalypse.
Here’s more about the story, the characters, and the jaw-dropping locations that make Eclipse the cinematic fever dream you never knew you needed. Buckle up!
The Story
Eclipse is a high-octane, globe-trotting action film that fuses martial arts, international intrigue, and Bollywood-inspired storytelling with a touch of the surreal. The narrative centers on Zara, a fearless DJ with a hidden talent for combat, who embarks on a daring journey to uncover the truth about her mother, Nina, a presumed-dead intelligence operative.
As Zara deciphers cryptic clues scattered across vibrant global landscapes, she battles formidable foes, forms unlikely alliances, and discovers her true identity. With action-packed sequences, emotional depth, and a diverse cast of characters, Eclipse is a celebration of resilience, human connection, and self-discovery.
Key Characters
• Zara (Protagonist): A magnetic DJ and skilled fighter, driven by a mysterious message about her mother. Zara’s journey reveals her strength, independence, and the power of connection.
• Nina (Catalyst): Zara’s mother, a former intelligence operative whose disappearance fuels Zara’s quest. She embodies wisdom, resilience, and the strength to protect those she loves.
• Jay (Tech Guru): A witty Tokyo-based hacker and Zara’s loyal ally, providing tech expertise and comic relief while pushing Zara to trust others.
• Li Na (Rival Turned Ally): A fierce martial artist from Hong Kong with a shared vendetta against their enemies. Her rivalry with Zara evolves into mutual respect and collaboration.
• Victor Tran (Antagonist): A ruthless international arms dealer who holds Nina captive. Charismatic and cold, he forces Zara to confront her fears and inner strength.
• Amara (Mentor): A survivor of South Korea’s zombie outbreaks, Amara guides Zara through chaos, teaching her tactical survival and the value of humanity.
• Reza (Informant): A mysterious figure in Rome with critical information about Nina. His enigmatic presence adds intrigue and tests Zara’s judgment.
• Elara (Protégé): A spirited young admirer of Zara who brings out her compassionate, mentoring side and underscores the impact of her journey.
Global Locations
1. Mumbai, India: The story begins here, with Zara’s electric DJ performance and a Bollywood-inspired fight scene that sets the tone for her journey.
2. Hong Kong: Bustling alleyways host a Kung Fu Hustle-style brawl between Zara and Li Na, showcasing intense martial arts action.
3. Seoul, South Korea: A surreal animated dream places Zara in a zombie-infested train, blending tension and creativity before she navigates the real streets of Seoul for answers.
4. Rome, Italy: Zara uncovers key clues at an ancient site, leading to a dramatic, high-stakes confrontation against Victor’s forces.
5. Tokyo, Japan: The climactic final battle unfolds in neon-lit Tokyo, where Zara faces Victor in a showdown blending cutting-edge tech and martial arts mastery.
Why Eclipse Stands Out
Eclipse is more than just an action movie—it’s a powerful exploration of identity, resilience, and the bonds that guide us through life’s challenges. From heart-pounding fight scenes to emotionally charged moments, the film offers a unique blend of adrenaline and introspection, set against the backdrop of visually stunning global locations.

Multi-Level Mentorship(MLM)
I’m excited to share something new for 2025—a personalized 1:1 professional development program running from early February through the end of March.
This isn’t for everyone—but if you’re feeling a little stuck, second-guessing yourself, or just unsure of what’s next, it might be exactly what you need.
Sound familiar?
• Your career feels like it’s going in circles. You’re not getting anywhere, and honestly, it’s starting to feel a little nauseating.
• Imposter syndrome has taken up permanent residence in your head, whispering, “Who do you think you are?”
• You’re introverted, tired, or wondering why your hard work hasn’t gotten the recognition it deserves.
• Or the most common scenario: You’ve never had a manager who truly invested in you.
Trust me, I’ve been there. I’ve wrestled with those same frustrations, lived to tell the tale, and even managed to help others navigate their way out of the fog. (And yes, I’ve got the gray hair to prove it.)
What You’ll Get
This isn’t about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all advice. It’s about creating a space where we can dig into the big questions, clear the roadblocks, and map out a path that feels authentically yours.
We’ll focus on:
✅ Gaining clarity on your next chapter
✅ Discovering meaningful ways to grow in your career
✅ Building tools to strengthen relationships and expand your influence
✅ Developing confidence in your leadership style—on your terms
No cookie-cutter solutions here—just honest, real conversations and strategies tailored to you.
Why Now?
Three reasons:
1. It’s early in the year—the perfect time for fresh starts and bold moves.
2. This is the most rewarding and fulfilling work I do.
3. I (humbly) believe I’m pretty good at this.
